Lost in the Shadows

Last night, I dreamt I was visiting someone behind bars.
The cold gray walls felt suffocating, but seeing their face brought a strange sense of relief.
It made me wonder how people hold onto hope amidst such darkness.
Real life isn't so different; everyone fights silent battles we’ll never see.
Today, I feel grateful for my freedom and a little more understanding of those who are trapped in circumstances beyond their control.
