Scaling the Endless Stairs

Last night, I found myself in this bizarre apartment,

climbing an endless flight of stairs.
With every step, I could feel my legs getting heavier.
But for some reason, I just kept pushing on.
It felt like life was literally making me work harder!
Each floor was a different challenge—

people staring at me from their balconies, weird noises echoing—

I felt so out of place.
When I finally reached the top, though…

nothing but a locked door awaited me!
Talk about a letdown!
What does that even mean?
Am I metaphorically stuck somewhere in life?
Just when you think you’ve overcome something...
it turns out there's more ahead to climb!
Anyone else had crazy stair dreams?
