The Unexpected Nostalgia in a Spoonful

Last night, I dreamt I was at my grandma’s house, sitting on the old wooden floor, spoonfuls of warm doenjang jjigae steaming in front of me.
The smell was so vivid I could almost taste the salty richness.
It’s funny how simple food can suddenly bring back a flood of memories—those afternoons chatting over bowls as kids, laughter echoing through the kitchen.
Life might be tough now, but somehow this tiny taste of home keeps me going when everything feels uncertain.
