A dream suffocated by smoke

Today, after another long day at work, I found myself staring out the window, watching the city skyline blur under a haze of pollution.
It’s hard not to feel a bit crushed—just like our hopes sometimes—by things beyond our control.
I was supposed to take my son fishing this weekend, but now I worry if it’s safe to breathe outside.
These small moments remind me how much we sacrifice for family and how fragile our everyday joys can be.
Still, we hustle on with hope tucked somewhere deep inside.
