Why Do My Nightmares Always Hit Such Dark Notes?

Lately, I wake up feeling uneasy after dreaming about hurting someone accidentally or intentionally.
It’s weird because I’m not violent at all in real life.
Maybe it’s stress or just my mind playing tricks during sleep?
Sometimes, these dreams leave me pondering—how much of what we dream actually reflects our subconscious fears or just random chaos in our heads?
Sleep isn’t always peaceful, that’s for sure.
